STEM SCHOLARSHIP
INVESTING IN STEM STUDENTS
The SBB Research Group STEM Scholarship encourages and empowers students to create significant value and countless new opportunities for society through their pursuit of higher learning, especially through interdisciplinary combinations of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM).
To apply for this scholarship, eligible students must submit a short 500-word essay in response to these two questions:
1. What have been your most significant experiences in STEM?
2. How will you use STEM principles to improve the world?
The scholarship has been featured on a number of scholarship databases, including scholarships.com and Unigo, but all applications must be submitted on the official scholarship website, sbbscholarship.com, which also contains the latest information, eligibility, and requirements of this scholarship program.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Are non-US citizens eligible to apply?
Yes. If all other scholarship requirements are met, non-US citizens are eligible to apply.
Are incoming freshman eligible to apply?
Yes. When filling out the “Current GPA” section of your application, please indicate
that the GPA provided is your high school GPA.
Are incoming freshman eligible to apply if their university does not
declare majors until after first semester?
Yes. When filling out the “Current Major(s)” section of your application, please specify that you are an undeclared freshman planning to major in [STEM degree].
Are graduate students eligible to apply?
Yes. If you are enrolled as a full-time graduate student, you are eligible to apply.
When filling out the “Current Year in School” section of your application, please
specify [year in graduate school] graduate student.
Where do I submit my essay?
Your short essay is submitted directly in your application. Using the text box of the
last question, type (or paste in) your ~500-word answer. The scholarship application
